So, hey guys, here’s the deal. My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer on my birthday this year, an anaplastic astrocytoma to be exact, and unfortunately, it’s not curable and takes up ¼th of her brain. She’s undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to slow the progress, but the doctors say that she has 18 months at most.
I’ll allow myself a moment of vulnerability and honesty: Not many people get to say this and I’m lucky that I do, but she has been the most supportive and amazing woman in my life and I’m terrified to lose her. She has always loved me for who I am and has always supported my sexuality and identity. Since I’m her only child, I moved in with her to help take care of her and take her to her treatments, to clean and just generally help around the house. It’s the least I can do for her after all she’s done for me.
I know you all see a lot of these posts on this site, but I’m coming to you all hat in hand, to ask for some financial help. I had to quit my job and move cities to be with my mom, which I don’t regret at all, but financially, it’s been hell. I’ve been applying for jobs left and right, and I’m hoping to find one soon, but it’s been difficult due to my availability not being what people needing to be due to me taking care of my mother.
I just need some help until I can get a job that allows me to care for my mother as well get a steady income. Even if you can’t donate, please, please, just reblog this. I still have bills that I need to pay for myself as well as starting to take over some expenses with my mother. Thank you all in advance and I appreciate you all.

why are there all these posts n articles n stuff that are like “girls can have short hair!” “girls can wear suits!” but all the women shown are still always only feminine, and whats actually being said is “girls can have short hair and still be feminine!” and “girls can wear suits and still be attractive to men!” like whenever women want to do something men (and sometimes other women too, but men are awful at this) have to find a way to make it Still Okay, Still Acceptable to them, instead of just letting women be! women dont need to fit any standards of femininity or beauty to do something, and they certainly don’t need mens approval
and its really gross considering these articles are usually about styles/behaviors associated with wlw, like they’re basically saying “doing this is okay, as long as youre straight!”

how many people could be working on actual problems in the world instead of being forced to do jobs that they are over-qualified for just because they dont want to go homeless and starve?
climate change is threatening to kill us and people with biology degrees are working at starbucks if they didn’t get lucky in the nepotism department.

Millions of people want to be doctors but can’t afford medical school, it is a well known fact we don’t have enough doctors for the demand. hmm wow real efficient capitalism.
